CLIENT BRIEF: In an late 19th century villa, the client wish was to create an additional dining area for the existing kitchen surface. verandah area in order to create a. The exterior and interior style should be maintained. The existing kitchen lacked daylight, functionality and needed to be modernized. Access between dining-room and the kitchen needed to be enlarged.
MY VISION: I looked to create a modern dining-seating space with an improved cooking space while respecting the architectural and interior design codes of the house. My approach was to find ergonomic and functional solutions and add verandah in an ancient style, while using the latest materials and technologies to reassure living comfort and match the rest of the Villa.
THE DESIGN: The result is a warm and classical space inside and a additional element outside that perfectly matches the Villa, to a point that it looks as though it was there from the beginning.
